The student team from the Faculty of Law in Zagreb has won the third place at the Central and Eastern European Moot Competition, held last weekend at the IUC Dubrovnik.
Eighteen teams from various law faculties in Central and Eastern Europe participated in the competition. The students representing our Faculty were Lea Blažević, Grgur Plavec, Alix Uzelac Vedriš, and Karlo Žalac.
As in previous years, the students prepared under the guidance of the Department of European Public Law, led by Dr. Davor Petrić and Ana Kršinić, who worked intensively with the students for five months and greatly contributed to the excellent performance of our team.
The Central and Eastern European Moot Competition (www.ceemc.co.uk) is one of the most prestigious student competitions in the application of European law before the Court of Justice of the European Union.
The competition has judges from the Court of Justice of the EU and distinguished professors of European law, as its judges and it is organised by the British Law Centre.
This year, our Faculty hosted the competition, which took place at the Inter-University Centre in Dubrovnik, which is part of the University of Zagreb, making our team's high placement even more valuable.
