After successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
Knowlegde and understanding
- explain the concept of banking law,
- explain the application of general banking terms,
- illustrate the separation of banking law from other branches of law and its relation to individual branches of law,
- discuss legal nature of the business relation between the bank and the client,
- describe contracts that are specific in banking,
- explain banking secret and bank communication,
- explain the relation between the investor, open investment fund management company and deposit bank,
- define different types of bank accounts,
- explain payment by bank transfer, payment by account debit, payment by debit and credit cards, legal position of the Croatian National Bank and business banks,
- explain the differences between bank guarantee at fist demand and bank guarantee.
Application
- demonstrate specific features of banking law;
- apply knowldge about general business terms to contracts which are specific in bank operation;
- use regulations from the area of banking law;
- conduct an independent research in order to find the most adequate solution in a concrete situation
After successful mastering of the course, students will be able to:
.1. advocate attutides for and against a certain solution in a well-argumented manner;
2. present their conclusions before a larger number of people,
3. analyise a topic in writing using basic scientific instruments in a professional manner,
4. draft bank agreement.
1. In the stage of preparation of teaching materials, realisation of learning outcomes is monitored through benchmarking,
2. In the stage of implementation of teaching program outcomes are controlled by monitoring attendance and reactions of students,
3. Stuidents may address the teacher personally or via e-mail
4. After the implementation, learning outcomes are assessed by an oral examination
