Description:

Course objectives are to introduce students to the possibilities of contemporary social work through modern technologies, new risks in a virtual environment and specific ethical standards in the use of modern technologies in social work practice. Also, course objective is to familiarize students with the various possibilities of e-learning.
Also, the subject contributes to the development of critical thinking of students, ability to work independently and effectively work in a team, the ability of oral and written presentation of the results of work and respect for diversity and multiculturalism.

Cognitive Skills:

Students adopt modern methods and techniques of working with different user groups and specific ethical principles of social work in a virtual environment.Students will gain knowledge about new risks of virtual environments important for social work practice. Students will become familiar with the relevant online resources in social work. They will gain insight into the various practices of social work in a virtual environment. They will learn specific ethical principles related to social work practice in a virtual environment and the use of modern technologies.

Practical and Generic Skills:

Students will learn how to apply security settings on the electronic devices. They will be able to use the relevant online sources and applications. Students will acquire skills in the use of technology in direct practice with clients.

Matching Assessments to Learning Outcomes:

Through the activities on the course students' tasks will include the development of their own e-learning content that may be of benefit to social workers in carrying out everyday practice.
