Description:

As a part of the seminar students will select one of the topics that are covered within the course and design a research project, collect and analyse the data and present the results to other students. Optional topics (flexibile to students' interests): - Ecological model of risk and protective factors - Externalizing problems - Internalizing problems - Risk behaviours - Family and youth problems - Peers and youth problems - School and youth problems - Community and youth problems - Media and youth problems - Counselling with youth and their parents - Working with youth within social care centres

Cognitive Skills:

After successfully completing the seminar, students will be able to:

1. Critically analyze relevant literature in the field of youth problems

2. Create a research plan from the field of youth problems

3. Assess and successfully address ethical challenges in studies of youth problems

4. Implement the planned study

5. Analyze and present the study results

6. Explain the implementation of the obtained results in the practice of social work with youth
