Daniel Baturina completed his graduate studies in sociology at Faculty of Humanities and Social sciences, the University of Zagreb in the year 2010, and undergraduate studies in sociology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social sciences, the University of Split in the year 2008.
He currently works as assistant professor at department for social policy. Since 2014 he is employed as an assistant/junior researcher on the EU FP7 project TSI (Third Sector Impact). As a researcher, he also participates in the project International Comparative Social Enterprise Models - ICSEM. From 2011-2014 he was employed as an assistant/junior researcher at the EU FP7 project WILCO (Welfare Innovations at Local Level in favour of Cohesion).
He is a member of the ISTR (International Society for Third Sector Research), EMES Research Network, European Sociological Association, Croatia Sociological Association, CERANEO- Centre for Development of Non-Profit Organizations, and Croatian network of evaluators
His scientific interests include: civil society and the third sector, social policy, social innovations, social entrepreneurship.
