Barbara Preložnjak, PhD is an associate professor at the Department of Family Law (2021-present). In 2003 she graduated from the University of Zagreb Faculty of Law, and then proceeded to complete her MA (2009) and receive her PhD (2013), successfully defending her doctoral thesis titled "Liberal theories of justice and legal aid schemes". She worked as a trainee at the Municipal and County Court in Zagreb (2003-2005), and passed the bar exam in 2007. She also worked as a research assistant at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Economics (2008-2009), moving in 2009 to the same University's Faculty of Law to work as a teaching and research assistant (2009-2013) and assistant professor (2016-2021) at the Department of Theory of Law. Since 2010, she has been working as the Assistant Director of the Legal Clinic at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Law. During her doctoral studies, she used her ERASMUS program scholarship to conduct a part of her research at the University of Ljubljana Faculty of Law. Her fields of research and teaching interests include family law, theory of law and philosophy of law.
