Assessment

You are expected to be prepared for the lectures, by reading and investigating the topic in advance. To make this possible, reading materials are posted at the web page of the course.

Each student is required to submit until the end of December an essay of about 5 pages on an assigned topic related to the course. The course is examined through two written exams. The mid-term exam (that will take place on 24 November 2015) is covering the lectures that will be delivered by that time. The final exam (to be held on 26 January 2016) covers the entire course taught. Upon successfully passing the exam you will be awarded 8 ECTS.

Each student is required to submit, by 19 January 2016, an essay of about 7 pages (cca 2500 words including references and literature) on a topic agreed upon with professors, which is related to the course.

Prior to writing the essay, student needs to send their topic proposal to Dr. Antonija Petričušić (via email apetricusic@pravo.hr) in order to verify the topic is compliant with the goals of the course. The proposal of the essay topic must be submitted and approved by 30 November 2015 at the latest.

Grades determination

Grade will be determined on the basis of: first exam 30% of the grade, essay 30%, the final exam 30% and participation on the lectures and seminars 10%. Upon successfully passing the exam you will be awarded 8 ECTS.
