The course focuses on violence in close relationships, with special emphasis on partner violence between adults and in adolescence. Topics covered within the course are: - Definition and manifestations of partner violence and domestic violence - Domestic violence against women and gender and feminist perspective - Results of contemporary studies - Intergenerational transmission of violence - Dynamics of violence in partner relationships - Health, social and psychological consequences of exposure to violence - Psychological profile of perpetrators of violence - The role of CSW in working with victims of domestic violence - The role of civil society organizations in working with victims and perpetrators of violence - Laws in the field of partner and domestic violence - International perspective in the field of legislation and work with victims and perpetrators - Psychosocial treatment of perpetrators of domestic violence - Attitudes and beliefs of professionals - Preventive action with youth |
