Knowledge and understanding
Define social security law and concept and systems of social security regarding the existing national regulation.
Explain systematisation, divisions and historical development of social security law and the concept and system of social security; the relation between national social security law and international and European standards i.e. domestic, international and European sources of social security law; economic and social significance of social security law in different models through which the concept of social security is realised and in different social security systems. Also explain the significance of social security law in the context of fundamental and constitutional rights and economic and social significance of social security law. Explain systematisation of pšublic social systems, in partiocular health insurance system, pension insurance, unemployment insurance, social welfare, maternity and parental allowances and child allowances.
Recognise applicable law and applicable legal institute for solving certain probnlem from the area of social security law and determine the procedure that has to be applied for the resolution of the problem.
Discuss different models of systems and the development of social security.
Report about problems connected with social security systems and possible adequate solutions for them.

Oral examination consists of testing the understanding of social security concepts within socieal security law, reproducing theoretical explanations and standpoints of the court, constitutional court and administrative practice of national courts, the European Court of Human Rights and the European Court on individual institutes of social security law and legal instittues characteristic for it, demonstrating the knowledge about public social security systems, especiall health care system, pension insurance, unemployment insurance, social welfare, maternity and parental allowances and child allowances, demonstrating the ability to apply relevant sources of law to resolving individual issues and problems, and the evaluation of individual legal solutions considering their effect on the realisation of fundamental and constitutional human rights and economic and social development.
